DesignBump gets a sister! TutorialBump officially launches!

Some of the more observant among you might have noticed the recent passing of a mile stone here on DesignBump. Last week we registered our 10,000th member. That is a huge number, one that I never really thought of reaching when I first launched DesignBump a little over a year and a half ago. To celebrate, I have decided to launch another "Bump" site to help compliment DesignBump.

TutorialBump is still in its infancy, and I am sure there are glitches I have yet to fix, but it is officially open for business. The site is obviously within the same realm as its bigger sister site DesignBump but it is a bit more focused. TutorialBump is about learning. The goal is that the same users (and hopefully some new ones) that made DesignBump such a great place will also help to grow the catalog of great resources for those still trying to learn a new digital skill. Categories include programming, javascript, php, html/css, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and more. I tried to include everything (with the safety net of "Other" in case I forgot something). If I left something important out just let me know. I am a pretty easy to reach kind of guy :)

The first 10,000 members that signed up at DesignBump have already had their accounts ported over. That means your current DesignBump login name and password will work at TutorialBump as well (assuming you where one of the first 10,000 to register). No need to create a new account. The site is almost identical to DesignBump so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out and navigate. Tutorials can be submitted with a 135x135 picture to show what the submission is all about. Because of a glitch I have yet to track down and fix, all submissions start with zero votes. However, you can vote it up to 1 right after you submit it.

As always, this is a learning process for me as well and I rarely get things right on the first try. If you can think of improvements or you have suggestions please (PLEASE) do not hesitate to contact me. It has always been the community that has made DesignBump a better place and I expect the same for TutorialBump.

So what are you waiting for? Head over to TutorialBump and start submitting and voting on your favorite tutorials! Or just spend sometime and learn some new skills!

Best,

John C.

P.S. If you have any questions please ask them in the comments so that I can answer them publicly for anyone else that might have the same question! Thanks!
