We’ve all been there. We have a photo of an animal with lots of fur, or a faint object that blends well with its background. We need to extract the object from its surroundings, but doing this with conventional tools just isn’t ideal. You could use the lasso tool, but there is no way that you will have the accuracy you need. You could use the magnetic lasso tool, but the edges will be too crisp. The Quick Selection Tool does a good job of selecting the base object, but it does a poor job of selecting the finer areas. So what do you do?
