Rapid design and development is a big part of what makes you a successful designer. If you’re a freelancer, wasting time can be a wallet-breaking occurrence. A lot of designers find that they work well in either Photoshop or Illustrator but not both. The problem with this is that Illustrator (at least I find this to be true) is easier to use to create shapes, logos, etc. However, Photoshop is easier to use to create special effects. In order to get the best of both worlds, you have to be able to work with Photoshop and Illustrator combined.
