4 years ago, there were articles about Taurine being found in energy drinks. Taurine was described as being a byproduct of bull testicles. However those articles were later identified as being wrong.
Cocaine in Red Bull?

In June 2009 dealbreaker.com reported that officials in Hong Kong had found traces of coke in several cans of Red Bull. A spokesman for Red Bull then issued a statement which explained, in no uncertain terms, that there is no way any nose candy made its way into the drink and that Asian authorities had mistakenly applied concerns about Red Bull Simply Cola to Red Bull Energy Drink. Fears of consumers overdosing were put to rest when spokeswoman Sigrid Rosenberger said the levels were right around the detection limit.
