Some might say that the Grand Island East Channel Light house looks eerily spooky in Autumn, even in day lit hours. One can imagine the light house on a cold autumnal night or standing tall against a raging winters storm as lightening strikes and crackles in the night air overhead. The light house is a fantastic example of how man made structures can compliment the beauty of nature.
Later in the year, Autumn gives rise to vibrant orange leaves. Even on the waterline the trees have caused the sand to visibly change in color. The changing colors of the trees and sand brought about by Autumn’s advance are similarly reflected in the calm waters adjacent to the light house structure.

One can not fail to be awed by the sight of a waning summer. Then humbled once again as Autumn takes hold with rich deep red and brown leaves and fauna.
