17 Superheroes Meet Art History Living in The 16th Century
Very few of us have wondered what our famous superheroes would look like if they lived in the 16th Century and were shown as art history. I’ve got to say it’s a very bizarre and weird concept! But French photographer Sacha Goldberger has done just that with her awesome photo series showcasing famous characters like Iron Man, The Joker, Darth Vader, Spiderman and many other characters!
by re-imagining them as 16th-century flemish portrait models, they take on a whole new meaning. Her series is titled, Super Flamands and you might be surprised to hear that some of these portraits aren’t Photoshopped! The Super Hero costumes manage to stay faithful to the original, with added 16-century styles thrown in to match the historical period. I think this is an interesting and fun look at how our iconic superheroes would have been like if they existed in the 16th Century.
