Reading Children Classic fairytales like Alice in Wonderland or Snow White has been a western tradition. These western Fairytales were brought to life by Disney with the female leads are the first thought we think of. Korean illustrator Na Young Wu decided to bring a new reimagining of western fairytales deciding to recreate them in a tradition Korean style known as manhwa.

These nine western fairytale illustrations recreated as asian fairytales were created by the artist known as Obsidian on Twitter. On the left side she has drawn the iconic princesses and other main fairytale casts and created the fairystyle illistrations including the color schemes, surroundings but changed the fairytales to have more of an asian appearance with the clothes, the traditional Korean costumes, hairstyles, and nature.
