I use different smoke photos and techniques that combines perfectly to manipulate misty impressions of iconic public figures, such as Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, Micky Mouse and more. The impermanent, unpredictable and fragile nature of smoke has allowed me to create these wonderfully eerie images, and I’m really pleased with how they’ve turned out.
Why smoke? Because the lines are beautiful, the transparency forms different shades of black and grey and the lines of smoke make striking portraits. The posters give a whimsical look to well-known characters which creates an almost ghostly style of artwork.
