Once this tipping point is passed, any prospect of recovery at all is unlikely to bring civilization back to resemble any more than a remanent of what it once was. Too many resources will have been destroyed and the human skills needed to rebalance society and civilzation will have eroded away as key people perish.

Just as the tip of the Statue of Liberty would reach out of the sand at the defining end scene of Planet of the Apes (1968.) Our other famous and familiar landmarks and heritage sites would gather dust, collapse and crumble in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Perhaps waiting for the gaze of some future explorer, from a distant star to wonder as to their origin many centuries hence.
