How to Clean Plastic Shed Windows

Plastic shed windows are a great way to add light and visibility to your shed without sacrificing its structural integrity. Plastic shed windows are typically made from polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, which is a durable material that stands up well against harsh weather conditions. These plastic windows are available in many shapes and sizes, making them an ideal choice for any type of shed. However, because these plastic windows can be exposed to dust, dirt, grime and other debris over time, it’s important to keep them clean in order to maintain their appearance and functionality.

According to Simply Plastics, cleaning plastic shed windows isn’t difficult – all you need is a few supplies and some elbow grease! With the right approach, you can have your plastic shed windows looking like new in no time.

Window cleaning is a necessary chore, but it doesn’t have to be a difficult one. In fact, with the right tools and techniques, cleaning plastic shed windows can be a quick and easy job. Here are four tips that will help you get the job done quickly and easily:

1. Use a squeegee. Using a squeegee is an effective way to get your plastic shed windows clean. To begin, make sure that you have the proper supplies: a bucket of warm water, a mild detergent, a soft cloth or sponge, and your trusty squeegee. Begin by wetting the window with warm soapy water, using the cloth or sponge to lightly scrub away any dirt or grime that may be stuck on the surface. Take care not to use too much pressure in order to avoid damaging the plastic surface.

Once you have cleaned away as much dirt as possible, start wiping down the window from top to bottom with your squeegee. Start at one side of the window and move horizontally across its length while applying light but steady pressure. Once you reach the other side of the window, move down to another horizontal line below where you started and repeat back and forth until you reach the bottom of the glass. Make sure to change directions every few strokes so that dirt is not pushed around instead of being removed from the window’s surface.

2. Use a bucket of soapy water. Fill a bucket with warm water and add some dish detergent or other types of household cleaner. Soap will help remove streaks and dirt from the window. Dip your sponge into the bucket, then wipe down the window using circular motions. Rinse off the sponge often to avoid leaving streaks on the window.

3. Use a towel or chamois cloth. If you don’t have a squeegee, you can use a towel or chamois cloth to clean your windows instead. Just make sure it’s damp before you start; if it’s too wet, it will drip all over the place! Wipe the window in a circular motion and make sure to rinse off the cloth often.

4. Polish your windows. Once you’ve finished cleaning, use a clean cotton cloth (or even newspaper) to polish your windows and give them that extra shine. Just make sure not to rub too hard; you don’t want to scratch or damage the window!

By following these simple steps, you can keep your plastic shed windows sparkling clean all year round. With just a little bit of care and attention, you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful views from inside your shed on even the greyest of days. Happy cleaning!
