I ran into a client at a local bar, and she asked if my boss and one of my coworkers were married. It was an odd question to ask, because they weren’t- so I asked what made her think that. “Oh, I just see them together around town all the time,” she explained. It then became clear to me that they were sleeping together. I ended up having to sit my boss down and let him know clients were asking about this. What made this situation even worse was that he would deny the affair to my face, even though I knew something was going on.
