#14 An Unexpected Call
I was adopted as a kid, but I know my biological parents. I just haven’t talked to them since I was three years old.
I was sitting with my grandmother one day and the phone rings. I got to the phone first, and I answered it and brought it to where my grandma was sitting.
She talked to the person for about a minute and then handed the phone back to me. She said it was my biological mother, and she wanted to speak to me. I hadn’t spoken to her in about three decades.
Needless to say, neither of us had much to say to each other.
