SAFe Agilist Certification is the most popular certification. Nowadays, lots of organizations are adopting agile these days, but the common complaint is that agile development does not scale well.

Many concepts like small self-organizing teams work well for small projects, but what will happen if you have around 25-30 teams. In this particular situation, guidance will be lacking when it comes to guiding multiple teams working on a large-scale project. For managing the projects at a large-scale enterprise, various agile frameworks are now available.

SAFe uses the combination of existing lean and agile principles and combines them in a templated framework to be used in large-scale projects.

SAFe Agilist Certification is primarily based on three basic bodies of knowledge:

  • Agile Software Development
  • Lean-Product Development
  • System Thinking

These were designed to provide team flexibility and help them manage the challenges that the organizations will encounter when scaling agile.

Provided the growth of the scale agile framework, it is no surprise that demand for SAFe Agilist Certification increased rapidly.

The framework was introduced in 2011 by Dean Leffingwell (a software industry veteran) in a book called Agile Software Requirements. Earlier, this framework was known as agile enterprise big picture.

Scale Agile Incorporation, which is a certifying body of SAFe Agilist Certifications, provides several certification programs. These professional certification programs provide a valid, reliable, and consistent method of assisting the candidate with safe skills, knowledge, and mindset.
