1. First things first: Pare down your clothes inventory.

2. If your room has the space but your closet doesn’t, build a little extra rod space.
You can put frequently worn items like cardigans and coats here, or choose your favorite dresses to display. Black Oak Vintage’s rack is multifunctional: you can store shoes on the bottom shelf, and hang bags and accessories on the hooks.
3. Learn how to actually fold and store t-shirts so they take up less space — and so you can see them all at a glance.

4. Repurpose old shoe boxes as drawer organizers.

5. Double your hanging space with soda can tabs.
