Do young children really carry flags and handguns anymore, it is just not the done thing. Yet roll the clock back and townsfolk were far less likely to kick up a fuss at images such as this. Is this a patriotic image or just bad parenting. The answer probably depends what decade you are from.

You never get to see true patriots like this little girl anymore.
