1. Use rye bread to remove scribbles from a wall.
Did your child scribble all over a wall with a pencil? Here’s a weird trick that’ll probably remove the markings much better than a pink eraser would: rubbing them with a slice of rye bread.
2. Vinegar can do ~miracles~ for discolored grout.
Spray (or even just dump) some onto a tiled floor, let it sit for awhile, and then scrub the grout with a toothbrush.
3. Get the rust off a tarnished kitchen knife by cutting up an onion.
The process will remove the rust from the knife, but you’ll have to throw the onion away. You win some, you lose some.
4. Turn a banana peel into mush in a blender and then use it to shine up tarnished silver.
Put those peels to good use.
5. Use salt as a scrub to get rid of hard-to-remove lipstick stains from the rims of glasses or mugs.
6. Have berry-stained hands? Get a lemon.
Cut a few small slits in lemon halves and stick your fingers into the citrus fruit to get your skin back to its normal shade. Once the berry traces fade, rinse your hands off with water.
