Linda Kozlowski

Linda Kozlowski is a graduate from Julliard with experience in Broadway. She found success in the movie scene with co-star Paul Hogan. Her sparking romance with Crocodile Dundee co-star turned into a real life flame, and she eventually married him in 1990. She hasn’t been in the acting scene for a while; however, starting off your career with as much success as she did is only a career people dream of. She and her husband eventually moved to California, and they had one son together. Hogan and Kozlowski remained married for several years after that, but they decided to split in 2013, with their divorce becoming official in 2014. Kozlowski didn’t wait long to speak out about their split. “I lived in Paul’s shadow for many, many years and it’s nice to feel my own light right now,” she said. “Honestly, we just naturally grew apart.” She now wants to focus on her career, as she moved to Morocco. Her and Hogan still talk on the phone, and they are “completely friendly, everybody’s happy.”

Maureen McCormick

Maureen McCormick was born on August 5, 1956. At age seven, she started her acting career, and within a year, she was a popular choice for TV commercials and sitcoms. Later on, she attempted at a singing career, with the 1995 Country CD “When You Get A Little Lonely”. Maureen is married to Michael Cummings and together they have a daughter, Natalie.

“The Brady Bunch” was a hit show that also had multiple spin offs, TV movies, and even had big screen adaptations years down the road. It was a hard role for Maureen to get away from, but Maureen has had plenty of other roles outside of “The Brady Bunch” franchise. It seems that there’s always a revisit to “The Brady Bunch” that comes up every now and then, and according to Maureen, “It represents what people always wanted,” she said. “A loving family. It’s such a gentle, innocent, sweet show and I guess it proved there’s always an audience for that.”

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling was born in Los Angeles, on May 16, 1973. Her father produced many popular television shows in the 1970s, so Tori had her foot in the door at an early age- and she appeared on many of her father’s shows.

Tori married her second husband, Dean McDermott, and they have five children together. In 1990, she was cast in the hit show 90210, and the show wrapped up in 2000. Spelling eventually went on to dip her toe into reality television after marrying Dean McDermott and documenting their life and love story on Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. Today, she can be seen spending quality time with her husband, chasing her kids around, and working on her next big project.

Val Kilmer

Val Kilmer was born in Los Angeles, California. Val studied at Hollywood’s Professional’s School and, in his teens, he entered Juilliard’s drama program. His professional acting career began in theater. His film debut was in 1984. He was in many different films throughout the 1980s, including Top Gun (1986). He has also played Elvis Presley in True Romance (1993), Doc Holliday in Tombstone (1993), and Batman in Batman Forever (1995).

Later on, Kilmer started to experience extreme weight loss, which became dangerous. Reports came out nearly two years ago that Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer and he had to have a tumor removed from his throat.

Kilmer didn’t look as thin after he had started to recover. He was looking extremely thin when he was very sick, and now it seems like he is in better health. The door is now open for a comeback, seeing as Kilmer looks the best he has in about 20 years.

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne was born on October 27, 1984 in Westminster, London, England. If you can’t tell by the name, she is the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. She explored many facets of the industry including; print media, film, radio, television, and even modelling. Kelly first made her professional debut in 2002, after appearing on her family’s reality show, The Osbournes- with the rest of her family. She is also known for her roles in Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002), So Undercover (2012), and The 7D (2014). Kelly went on to join George Kotsiopoulos and Giuliana Rancic on E!’s Fashion Police, and later appeared on Dancing with the Stars. She is also one of the judges on both Australia’s Got Talent, and Project Runway Junior. Today, she continues to improve herself in all aspects, and that includes health and fitness.

Rob Kardashian

Robert Kardashian, Jr. was born on March 17, 1987, in California. Rob is the only son and youngest of four children. His family is known for their hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians; however, Rob has strayed away from the show. But he joined the celebrity cast of Dancing with the Stars in 2011- where he took home second place as the most improved dancer of the season. He fought depression after he gained 100 pounds in under a year and he was diagnosed with diabetes in 2015. He separated himself from his family, and then things took a turn. He met former dancer and model Blac Chyna in 2016. The couple got engaged and even had a baby together. But unfortunately things didn’t work out for him and Blac Chyna. Today, he is a dedicated father and spends his time with his daughter, Dream.

John Travolta

John Travolta was born on February 18, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey. At 16 he landed his first professional job in the musical “Bye Bye Birdie”, so he quit school and moved to New York. An opening in the New York production of “Grease” gave him his first Broadway role at age 18. After “Grease”, he became a member of the company of the Broadway show “Over Here”. He was seen on Medical Center (1969), The Rookies (1972), Emergency! (1972), and The Devil’s Rain (1975). He also played the role of Vinnie Barbarino in Welcome Back, Kotter (1975). He received an Academy Award nomination in 1977 for “Saturday Night Fever”.

Travolta’s success continued with “Grease” and “Urban Cowboy” and then things would eventually slow down for him. His success started back up in 1994’s “Pulp Fiction”, when he got his second Oscar nomination. Travolta has seen another revival in his career since then, and earned praise in the recent series, “American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson”.

Travolta has also seen many changes in his weight. Travolta was once down to his lowest adult weight for “Grease” when he was weighing in at 165 pounds. In the 1990’s, Travolta had put on weight intentionally for his role in “Primary Colors”, which brought him up to 211 pounds. Travolta said that he loves cheeseburgers, and that “it’s been fun gaining it” when talking about it intentionally, but that “It’s been fun losing it too, because then it’s about monitoring your diet and exercising. I can lose the weight in five or six weeks, and as long as I’m busy, I can keep it off.” By the time the late 2000’s rolled around, Travolta had seen his weight climb steadily, and he surprised people in 2013, losing a lot of weight, where he looked closer to his “Grease” days as he started to get close to 60 years old.

Travolta will be busy in the next few years, as he will be starring in “The Life and Death of John Gotti” and “Speed Kills”.

Teri Garr

Terri Garr was born on December 11, 1947 in Lakewood, Ohio. Her father, Eddie Garr was a Broadway stage and film actor, and her mother, Phyllis Garr, was a dancer; therefore, Terri had entertainment in her blood.

In the 1970s she became well established in television with appearances on shows such as Star Trek (1966), It Takes a Thief (1968) and McCloud (1970), and became a semi-regular on The Sonny and Cher Show (1976) as Cher’s friend, Olivia. She has starred in many well-known films, including; Young Frankenstein (1974), Oh, God! (1977), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Mr. Mom (1983), After Hours (1985) and her Academy Award-nominated performance for Best Supporting Actress in Tootsie (1982), and many others.

Garr started suffering health problems, being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This new diagnosis kept Garr away from movie and TV sets, so she decided to enter retirement.

Garr has acknowledged that her retirement isn’t permanent, as she has been in minor roles and she’s made appearances in movies and TV shows. “I have plans to keep going,” she says. “But I don’t know if anybody else does. I want to write more, because I think I’ve got a story to tell. It’s actually amazing that I’m alive. Everyone I tell that I had an aneurysm always says, ‘Oh, my cousin died from that.’ Well I didn’t, so I’m amazed. I was in a wheelchair, and I had to go to rehab. And now I’m walking.”

Garr continued, “I haven’t been in a wheelchair in (months), and it’s amazing. I did all this therapy: exercise, swimming, biking. I’m really grateful for my dancers’ discipline.” Garr added that “God’s not done” with her just yet. “If she’s up there, she said ‘You’re time isn’t up yet.’”

Kelly McGillis

Kelly McGillis was born on July 9, 1957 in Newport Beach, California. McGillis showed a spark for acting while growing up. McGillis attended Juilliard which ended up setting her up with an acting career once she graduated. In 1983, she landed a role in the film “Reuben, Reuben.” She then scored a role in the hit TV series “One Life to Live,” (1985). She then starred along with Harrison Ford, in the film “Witness.”

After her role with Ford, her next movie was more than likely her biggest to date, as she starred alongside Tom Cruise in the film “Top Gun.” The film gave the two top billing and the feature on the poster, and went on to be the biggest movie of 1986 with nearly $180 million in the United States at the box office and more than $350 million worldwide.

McGillis spent the last few years of the 1980s making several movies including; “Made in Heaven”, “Unsettled Land”, and “The Accused.” Then in the 2000s, it seemed that McGillis took a step back from the spotlight a bit as she wasn’t working as much.

McGillis has been in several independent movies throughout the 2000s including; “Julie Loves to Gamble,” “Annie Cook”, and “Mother of All Secrets”. McGillis has signed on for the sequel to “Top Gun” where she will reprise her role from the original—it’s set for release in 2020.

McGillis said, “Acting is a love in my life, but it isn’t all that I am. It does not define me. I am very content with what comes my way and I love that. I teach acting, speech and voice here and I have the perfect life for me. I am happy to get the work occasionally and for me, it’s about having a balanced life, and I love that.”

Raven Symone

Raven Symone was born on December 10, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia. Symone grew up in the spotlight. She was introduced to the cast of “The Cosby Show” and also appeared on “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper”. By the time she was just eight years old; Symone started to get into music and released her first album in 1993.

Symone became a Disney Channel actress, starring in the hit teen movie “The Cheetah Girls” and then getting her own TV show, “That’s So Raven”. These days, Symone is one of the panelists on the daytime talk show “The View”, and recently became a cast member of the show “Empire”. Today, Symone promotes body positivity both online and on “The View”.

Linda Ronstadt

Linda Ronstadt was born in Tucson, Arizona on July 15, 1946. Ronstadt started performing music at a young age, focusing on performing folk rock. She added her own flair to the mix, adding in a bit of country.

In 1969, Ronstadt released her first album “Hand Sown…Home Grown”. Even though the album didn’t take off, it wouldn’t be too long for her to make it big.

Ronstadt released the album “Silk Purse”, which included her first song to reach the charts with “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, and the top 25 hit “Long, Long Time”. Between then and the end of the 1970s, she released several more albums and had nine songs that reached the top 25 on the Billboard charts. Among those that reached the top five were “Blue Bayou” and “It’s So Easy”, as well as the song “You’re No Good”.

She quickly became one of the best female singers of the 20th century. Her success as a singer even got Ronstadt into acting, as she appeared in several TV shows throughout the years such as “Sesame Street”, “The Muppet Show”, and “The Simpsons”.

Ronstadt isn’t actually a fan of her albums, even though her music is loved by many. “I don’t ever listen to my stuff once I’ve finished it,” she said. “And I don’t really know what’s on it…When I listen to all my old stuff, I tend to be horrified…I don’t like any of them,” Ronstadt added when talking about her albums. “But there are moments on records that I like.”

Ronstadt released two albums in the early 2000s with “A Merry Little Christmas” and most recently in 2004 with “Hummin’ to Myself”. She continued to tour after releasing those albums, though her last live performance was in 2009. Two years later, she announced that she was retiring from performing, which turned into a permanent retirement in 2013.

Ronstadt was unfortunately diagnosed with Parkinson disease, which she feared might be the case when her singing voice started to fade. “It was really gradual,” she said. “Like someone moving the fader on the board when you’re recording – a tiny little bit at a time. As a year went by, I’d noticed that something was wrong. I’d say, ‘This isn’t singing. This is yelling.’” It took her some time to cope with the Parkinson’s diagnosis, knowing that there isn’t a cure. “The good news is that everything that helps Parkinson’s disease seems to help Alzheimer’s, so there’s a lot of research going on, which is what we need,” she said.

Ronstadt is determined to live life to its fullest. “You have to have a life, but I have to be very selective about what I do,” she said. Today, Ronstadt advocates for Parkinson’s research and awareness.

Linda Evans

Linda Evans was born on November 18, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut. As a child, Evans started to appear in TV commercials, and when she finished high school she started to land roles in TV shows. Evans played a role in “Bachelor Father”, and in the same year had a recurring role in “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet”. Over the next few years, Evans continued to have guest appearances on TV and had her first films during this time with “Twilight of Honor” and “Those Calloways”.

Evans first big break was in 1965, when she landed a regular role on “The Big Valley”, which ran throughout the remainder of the 1960s. Evans had appeared in several big screen films before landing another role on the show “Hunter” in 1977; however, the show was cancelled after only one season.

1981, was when she got her biggest break by landing a role on “Dynasty”. Evans took home several People’s Choice Awards and a Golden Globe.

After “Dynasty” had concluded, Evans starred in several television movies and miniseries, including a revisit to the “Dynasty” series. More than 20 years ago, she decided to retire, but she still makes the occasional appearance as herself in reality shows.

Having the career she has had is shocking to her. “This career has been a shocker,” she said. “When I was discovered at 15, I was with a girlfriend who was up for a commercial, and the director wanted me to do it. My dad had passed away unexpectedly from cancer, so we were living on Social Security and there was no way for me to say no to the money.”

She unfortunately made headlines in 2014, when she was arrested for driving under the influence, but Evans said she put the incident behind her. “When I saw the footage, I was surprised because I don’t remember myself that way,” Evans said. “To see it, it was disturbing. I saw the pain in my eyes. It just took me right back to the moment.” Today, she is now living a healthy lifestyle and wants to live into her 90s.

She said, “I can honestly say that I felt really very fortunate that I was able to have the career that I had and the fame, the success, the love of people all around the world.” She added. “But there was an emptiness to it. And there was some – a longing for something that I couldn’t find. And I knew that it wasn’t going to be something outside of me, because I had everything you can have that people think would make you happy.”

Mary Tyler Moore

Mary Tyler Moore was born on December 29, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. When she was a child, her family decided to move out to Los Angeles. Moore was a very energetic child: to expel some of her energy, she got into dancing. “My grandfather once said, having watched me one entire afternoon, prancing and leaping and cavorting, ‘This child will either end up on stage or in jail,’” She said. “Fortunately, I took the easy route.”

Moore started to land gigs on television advertisements, even as a teen. After becoming pregnant and no longer working with the company she was advertising for, Moore had auditioned for many jobs. She’d be featured in many guest spots on several series, but stardom was just around the corner for her.

Moore’s had several roles on the big screen but it was the casting in 1961 on “The Dick Van Dyke Show” that proved to be her big break. In 1965, she won the Golden Globe for Best TV Star (Female) and earned two Emmy wins on three nominations. The series came to an end in 1966; however, that wouldn’t be the last of Moore.

In 1970, she was a star in her own sitcom called “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”. Female comedians hadn’t been featured front and center on TV shows at the time, especially single working women. The show ended up being a huge hit that stuck around for many years, with Moore receiving many Award nominations and wins in the process.

She returned to a film career and starred in a trio of 1980s films with “Ordinary People,” “Six Weeks” and “Just Between Friends,” Moore would receive a Golden Globe win for her role in “Ordinary People” and was even nominated for her only Oscar for Best Actress.

In the 2000s, Moore had her final roles, with her last appearance on television coming in a recurring role on “Hot in Cleveland” and in the 2009 movie “Against the Current.”

Even though she was a huge star, she still tried to keep her private life quiet. She said, “There are certain things about me that I will never tell to anyone because I am a very private person,” she continued. “But basically, what you see is who I am. I’m independent, I do like to be liked, I do look for the good side of life and people. I’m positive, I’m disciplined, I like my life in order, and I’m as neat as a pin.”

Moore unfortunately suffered through health problems for a majority of her life, having been a long-time diabetic. Still, she was able to live a long and successful life. From having brain surgery to multiple organ diseases, Moore fought to the very end. Sadly, Moore passed away on January 25, 2017, at the age of 80.

Moore had one last piece of advice for others, “Take chances, make mistakes,” she said. “That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.”

Lil Kim

Kimberly Denise Jones, was born on July 11, 1974. She was a rebellious child. Kim and her father fought a lot, so she eventually ran away from home. As a teenager she lived with boyfriends, friends, and, occasionally, on the streets. Once she met her mentor Christopher Wallace, (Notorious B.I.G/Biggie Smalls), her life was forever changed. She quickly began to clean up her life and it was Christopher who helped her develop a music career.

With Christopher’s help, she became the only female member of the short lived rap group Junior M.A.F.I.A. Their 1995 debut album Conspiracy debuted at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and garnered the hit singles “Player’s Anthem” (#13) and “Get Money” (#17). After the release, she appeared on many different records, which helped her realize that it was time to go solo. In 1996, she released her first solo album “Hard Core”. The album was a hit, debuting at # 11 on the pop charts. The first single from the album, “No Time” was a duet with Sean “Puffy” Combs, which became a #1 rap single and #20 on the pop charts. While she was becoming a star, she learned about some unsettling news. Notorious B.I.G. was murdered on March 9, 1997. Following the tragic death of her father-like-figure, she took a hiatus from recording her own music, but she still kept herself busy with other projects. Lil Kim was one of the performers of Puff Daddy’s 1998 “Bad Boy Tour”. She also built her own business with the launch of Queen Bee Records, and she was CEO of the company. “Notorious K.I.M.” was released in the summer of 2000 under the Queen Bee record label and debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Charts.

She also dipped her toe in the movie world, by debuting in the 1999 film, “She’s All That” and playing a role in the 2002 film, “Juwanna Man”. In 2001, Lil Kim experienced her first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in a remake of the song “Lady Marmalade”, where she collaborated with Pink, Mya, and Christina Aguilera. The song was such a success; they were awarded a Grammy in 2002, for Best Pop Collaboration. On February 26, 2001, gunshots were fired outside the Hot 97 studio in Manhattan, after Lil’ Kim had been interviewed on the radio station. One man was shot and critically wounded. According to reports the shots were fired after an altercation between Kim’s entourage and a group associated with her rival, Foxy Brown. Kim told a grand jury at the trial that she had no knowledge about this situation. However, the radio station’s security photos linked her to both men. In March 2005, Kim was convicted of perjury and conspiracy for lying to a federal grand jury. On July 6, 2005, she was fined $50,000 and sentenced to a year in jail. Her album The Naked Truth released while she was still in prison in September 2005. She made it to No. 6 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.

Upon her release in July 2006, Kim hired personal trainer Jonas Serrano to move in with her, so he could help her diet. She was asked to join Dancing with the Stars in 2009.During her dancing journey, she was able to shed 20 pounds. One of the most important parts of her weight loss journey was her strict diet. Balanced meals were delivered to her by Dancing with the Stars’ gourmet diet service of choice, Freshology.

She is now a big fan of healthy foods like veal Milanese, dried fruit, grilled yellowfin tuna, vegetables, whole grain couscous, and sweet chili glazed tofu, Kim’s eating habits mixed with Serrano’s training has helped her to keep off the weight and stay in shape. She had a beautiful baby girl in June 2014, and she still works hard as a rapper, while she is a dedicated mother.

Kate Jackson

Kate Jackson was born on October 29, 1948 in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. Jackson didn’t plan on becoming an actress at the time; instead she hoped to focus on a more traditional career before she went off to college. She went to Ole Miss, where she spent one full year there. Her passion had quickly turned to acting, and with that she moved to New York City to take acting classes. She landed a gig as an NBC intern, and in the late 1960s, she appeared in a soap opera called “Dark Shadows.”

Jackson appeared on “Dark Shadows” for more than 70 episodes over the course of two years, and she also starred in the feature film based on the series. She appeared in the film “Limbo”, in 1972, while landing roles in several different TV movies over the first half of the decade. In 1972, she was cast as Jill Danko on “The Rookies,” with the appearance lasting for more than 70 episodes before Jackson landed the role she’s become well-known for as Sabrina Duncan on “Charlie’s Angels” in 1976.

“Charlie’s Angels” quickly became one of the most popular shows on television, and the actresses from the series were being offered more gigs apart from the series. Due to her extensive work leading up to the series, Jackson was a hot commodity.

Farrah Fawcett left “Charlie’s Angels” after only one season, which became a point of contention behind the scenes. However, Jackson’s departure didn’t involve as much drama according to show co-creator Leonard Goldberg. “We didn’t want Kate to leave,” he said. “She had told us in a nice way she wanted to move on. It didn’t come as a sudden shock. She had done her work and had worked hard for three seasons. We were sad to see her go and we thought it would hurt the series, but we understood and she handled it in a very professional manner.”

In the early 1980s, she starred in both “Dirty Tricks” and “Making Love.” however, it wasn’t long until Jackson was back on television. She played Amanda King on the series “Scarecrow and Mrs. King”, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

Jackson would then have several TV appearances with guest spots on shows like “Family Guy,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Third Watch”, as well as a few TV movies. The “Criminal Minds” guest spot in 2007, would be Jackson’s last appearance to date on television. Today, Jackson has been working on her memoirs after signing a book deal, which has a late 2020 release date.

Brendan Fraser

Brendan James Fraser was born on December 3, 1968, in Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduation, he found a small role in River Phoenix’s Dogfight (1991), and several other minor roles. Fraser was given a big movie role called “Encino Man”, in 1992. Even though there weren’t a lot of lines to the movie, this role opened a lot of doors for him. After Five more years of supporting work, he earned the lead role in George of the Jungle (1997). Fraser says this role altered his career.

Towards the end of the decade, he saw a lot of success within movie roles. He starred in movies like “George of the Jungle”, “Blast from the Past”, and “The Mummy”. Fraser also appeared in the other “Mummy” films, as well. He took a break from the spotlight, and he would reappear in 2010, with the movie “Furry Vengeance”. He has not appeared in a Hollywood movie in about two years, with his last film being “The Nut Job”.

Fraser did gain some weight in the process, he said, “I still need to get closer to the StairMaster to lose that paunch. I’m doing good, though.” Fraser admits that it’s harder once you get over 40 years old to lose the weight, saying that “Once you get there, it’s not easy getting back…I’m gonna be 42 in December, and I can’t just stop living.”

Keely Shaye Smith

Keely Shaye Smith has been in several different forms of media during the 1980’s and 1990’s. She first earned fame for appearing in a Huey Lewis music video, and she also did some modeling during that time, working for Elite Models. Smith branched out into the acting world, appearing on the show “General Hospital” before she went into journalism. She has been a correspondent on many different shows including; “Entertainment Tonight”, “Unsolved Mysteries”, and “Good Morning America”.

Smith and Pierce Brosnan met on a beach in Mexico, in 1994. Brosnan had lost his previous wife Cassandra Harris to cancer at 42 years old, just three years before. Brosnan said that, “I found a great woman in Keely Shaye. Not if I searched a million times over would I find one as good.” The two entered a relationship, and later married in 2001.

A lot of people have talked about Smith’s weight, ever since her and Brosnan got together. Part of the reason for her weight gain over the years was that she was more focused on raising the couple’s two boys.

According to those close to Smith, she tried several diets in the past, but wasn’t able to sustain them long-term. Brosnan has said many times that he appreciates Smith’s curves.

In 2015, photos surfaced of the couple riding bicycles in Malibu. Smith reportedly lost just over 100 pounds. An insider close to Smith said that instead of trying different fad diets and counting calories, Smith made a lifestyle change- by exercising and eating healthier. In 2016, she directed a film called “Poisoning Paradise”. Smith says that she’s an island girl, and she enjoys spending time in Hawaii. Today, Poisoning Paradise has screened at 20 prestigious film festivals, and it has won many awards.

Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill was born on September 25, 1951, in Oakland, California. His father was a U.S. Navy Captain, which meant that the family had to relocate often.

After he graduated from high school, Hamill moved to Los Angeles, where he studied drama at the Los Angeles City College. Shortly after he graduated, he landed a recurring role on General Hospital and a starring role in The Texas Wheelers. Texas Wheelers wasn’t a huge role, but it got his foot in the door to fame.

Since then, Hamill has become a well-known actor. Aside from the Star Wars series, Mark Hamill’s name appears in the credits of more than 280 projects including; video games, television, and films. He has also done a lot of voiceover work for DC Comics.

Today, Hamill is a father of four, that’s been married for 40 years in 2018, he doesn’t want to play Luke Skywalker forever, yet he knows the impact that it’s had. Kim Basinger

Kim Basinger was born on December 8, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia. Basinger displayed her talents in many different fields including; cheerleading, dance, modeling, and eventually she participated in beauty pageants. After doing well in her pageants, she was offered a full-time modeling job, but she put it on hold, so she could go to college and take acting classes; however she ultimately decided to go into modeling.

Modeling wasn’t a passion for Basinger in the beginning, despite having a stream of regular work. She was featured in several different advertisements that numbered into the hundreds, and in the meantime she was taking acting classes- so that she could possibly change professions in the future.

In 1976, she decided to dip her toe into the acting world, as Basinger had begun to make many different appearances on television. Over the final four years of the decade, Basinger had guest roles on nine different productions, starting with “Gemini Man.” Some of the more known roles that she would appear in include; “The Six Million Dollar Man,” “Charlie’s Angels”, and many other TV movie roles.

In 1981, she switched over to film starting with her role in “Hard Country.” Her career sky rocketed when she was cast for the role as a “Bond Girl” in the 1983 film, “Never Say Never Again.” She had a string of popular hits during the decade including; “The Natural,” “9 ½ Weeks,” and “Batman”.

During the 1990s, Basinger was nominated for an Academy Award, as Best Supporting Actress in 1998, for her role in “L.A. Confidential.” She also starred in other 1990s movies like “Wayne’s World 2,” “Cool World,” and “The Getaway.”

During the early 2000s, she had a role in “8 Mile,” “Cellular,” and “The Informers”. She has been quite busy in the current decade on the big screen, starring in films such as; “The Nice Guys,” “Grudge Match,” and the “Fifty Shades” series.

Today, Basinger likes to live a quiet life when she’s not filming. She is no longer married (after previously marrying Alec Baldwin) and has one adult daughter, Ireland. Basinger and her daughter still spend a lot of time together, when she’s not filming. She’s hoping to get more into writing as well, with a focus on children’s books.

Goldie Hawn

Goldie Hawn was born on November 21, 1945, in Washington D.C. Hawn began taking ballet and tap dance lessons at the age of three, and at the age of ten- she danced in the chorus of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo production of “The Nutcracker”. She instructed and ran a ballet school at the age of 19. Before she became an actor, she worked as a professional dancer. Hawn made her TV debut in 1967, with the series “Good Morning, World,” where she only appeared in the first season. The next year, she had a small part in her film debut with “The One and Only, Genuine, and Original Family Band,” but her big break came that same year when she became a member of “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In”.

In the 1970s, some of the well-known roles that she would appear in include; “Shampoo,” “The Sugarland Express,” and “Foul Play.” Her success continued into the next decade with movies like “Wildcats,” “Private Benjamin,” and “Overboard.”

She starred in the films “The Banger Sisters” and “Town & Country” at the beginning of the 2000s, but then she took a break from Hollywood for more than a decade. Hawn returned in 2017, in the comedy “Snatched.” That same year, she was a narrator for the film “SPF-18.”

Hawn and her husband, Kurt Russell celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2018. She is also a mother to three kids— Oliver, Kate, and Wyatt. Hawn has had a successful career and family life. We hope to see Hawn in more roles in the future.

Daryl Hannah

Daryl Hannah was born in Chicago, on December 3, 1960. Hannah wanted to be a movie star, so she set off to Los Angeles to the University of Southern California, where she took acting and dancing classes.

Hannah’s debut came in 1978, with the film “The Fury.” After a few years away from the screen, she returned in 1981 with a role in “Hard Country”. She starred in the TV movie “Paper Dolls”, while she also landed roles in “Summer Lovers” and the hit movie “Blade Runner.” Hannah became a household name in 1984, due to her role in “Splash.” The rest of the 1980s was a great time for her career. She had a role in films such as; “High Spirits,” “Wall Street,” “Roxanne,” and “Steel Magnolias.”

In the 1990s, Hannah started to appear in more TV movies, including “Rear Window,” and “Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman.” On the big screen, some of her well-known appearances from this time included; “The Little Rascals,” “Grumpy Old Men,” and “My Favorite Martian.” In the 2000s Hannah, played Elle Driver in both of the “Kill Bill” movies.

Her more recent roles include; a brief role on “Hawaii Five-0,” “Sense8,” “The Hot Flashes,” “I am Michael,” and “The Slider.”

Hannah knows there’s a lot of work for her in her future; however, she looks forward to getting older. “I am still learning and growing and that helps keep you young in outlook,” she said. “I no longer worry about what people think of me. I’m no longer self-obsessed. I’m more worried about protecting creatures and caring for the environment. Such change is the advantage of the passing years.”

Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker was born March 25, 1965, in Nelsonville, Ohio. Parker was trained in ballet and singing, and she was cast in the Broadway production of “The Innocents”, which is why here family relocated to New Jersey. She studied at the American Ballet School and the Professional Children’s School. She was cast in “The Sound of Music”, and the lead role in “Annie”. She landed a role in the movie My Body, My Child (1982), before being cast as one of the lead roles in sitcom Square Pegs (1982).

Once she graduated, Parker decided to pursue a full-time acting career. Square Pegs didn’t last more than a year, so she decided to move on to supporting film roles in movies such as; Firstborn (1984), Footloose (1984), and the lead role in Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985). Parker landed the role in L.A. Story (1991), playing Steve Martin’s lover. Bigger roles soon followed including; Hocus Pocus (1993), Ed Wood (1994), and Honeymoon in Vegas (1992).

The 1990s was a good time for her career, as she starred in The Sunshine Boys (1996), Miami Rhapsody (1995), The First Wives Club (1996), If Lucy Fell (1996), and Mars Attacks! (1996).

Parker’s career shot up, thanks to her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the series Sex and the City (1998). She won two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards for this series. Parker took the success of the famous series even further when she reprised her role for the silver screen in Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010).

Beyond her role as Carrie Bradshaw, other films that she has been in since the series include; The Family Stone (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), and Did You Hear About the Morgans? (2009).

Parker has been happily married to Matthew Broderick since 1997. When she’s not acting or producing, Parker is a member of Hollywood’s Women’s Political Committee, and is UNICEF’s representative for the Performing Arts.
