The Fisherman

Somewhere in the cold Murmansk sea, Roman Fedortsov is working day and night on the deck on his trawler. A trawler is a boat that is rigged with a huge cone-shaped net that is lowered deep into the water and dragged behind it catching anything in its path. While it’s a pretty efficient way to catch fish, not everything caught is meant for sale. And when you’re trawling through the frigid abyss of the arctic ocean, you’ll find yourself catching a plethora of gigantic unidentified species. Needless to say, Roman is no stranger to deep-sea monsters like this one. But there was one whopper fish that even his whole crew couldn’t send back. It was a 1-in-500-million catch.
