This week three new and rather exciting promotional posters have arrived for Disney’s “ Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Men Tell No Tales.” Pirate poster art designs are always fun to see and these are no exception either.
In fact this is the fifth movie in the famous Pirates franchise what looks like something of a return to form for the swashbuckling pirate yarn after three sequels of diminishing returns in recent years. The film will need to bring home the bacon, given it’s apparent 320 million budget.
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly this time around. These three posters give audiences a taste of what is to come. Whet your appetite for the next Pirates instalment also with the latest trailers and TV spots.
In the new film actor Johnny Depp is back in the film as pirate Captain Jack Sparrow who is being hunted by the sinister Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). The pair of pirates, along with fellow cast mates Geoffrey Rush, Brenton Thwaites, and Kaya Scodelario, can be seen depicted on the film artwork below.
Poster Art Examples For Fifth Pirates of the Caribbean
Directed by Norwegian filmmakers Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning (“Kon-Tiki”), “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” will debut in cinemas on May 26th 2017.
In this first Pirates poster art example Captain Jack Sparrow look like he is holding onto an important secret, yet what could it be?
Dead Men Tell No Tales : Poster Two
The second Pirates of the Caribbean poster depicts the rest of the cast of the film alongside pirate ships and mystical looking skulls. In this design everyone looks ready for wild adventure on the dangerous high seas.
Dead Men Tell No Tales : Poster Three
The final Pirates of the Caribbean poster depicts a similar style of poses from the central characters but overall is darker. Expect more pirate ships, curses and walking the plank when the fifth film arrives in cinemas later in the year.
The three recently released posters for Dead Men Tell No Tales are designed full of the usual pirate stereotypes. Imagery such as pirate flags, pirate tattoos and skulls and crossbones. A little predictable for sure but we like them anyway.
