Daryl Hannah was born in Chicago, on December 3, 1960. Hannah wanted to be a movie star, so she set off to Los Angeles to the University of Southern California, where she took acting and dancing classes.

Hannah’s debut came in 1978, with the film “The Fury.” After a few years away from the screen, she returned in 1981 with a role in “Hard Country”. She starred in the TV movie “Paper Dolls”, while she also landed roles in “Summer Lovers” and the hit movie “Blade Runner.” Hannah became a household name in 1984, due to her role in “Splash.” The rest of the 1980s was a great time for her career. She had a role in films such as; “High Spirits,” “Wall Street,” “Roxanne,” and “Steel Magnolias.”

In the 1990s, Hannah started to appear in more TV movies, including “Rear Window,” and “Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman.” On the big screen, some of her well-known appearances from this time included; “The Little Rascals,” “Grumpy Old Men,” and “My Favorite Martian.” In the 2000s Hannah, played Elle Driver in both of the “Kill Bill” movies.

Her more recent roles include; a brief role on “Hawaii Five-0,” “Sense8,” “The Hot Flashes,” “I am Michael,” and “The Slider.”

Hannah knows there’s a lot of work for her in her future; however, she looks forward to getting older. “I am still learning and growing and that helps keep you young in outlook,” she said. “I no longer worry about what people think of me. I’m no longer self-obsessed. I’m more worried about protecting creatures and caring for the environment. Such change is the advantage of the passing years.”
