Its huge buggy eyes may be due to the extreme darkness at the bottom of the ocean. Deep sea fish, like all creatures, must adapt to their environment, so many of them develop massive – and extremely sensitive – eyes that are 100 times more powerful than human eyes. Other fish who don’t develop these are completely blind and rely on their sense of pressure and smell to get around.
