This is not the first time a human violated an elephant’s personal space and lived to regret it. Years ago, a zookeeper decided it would be a good idea to sweep the floor directly behind an elephant. Let’s just say when the creature decided to sit down he was in for the surprise of its life!

While this elephant didn’t respond aggressively, researchers have discovered a reason why elephants have begun to lash out.
