What This Fisherman Just Found Deep In The Ocean Is Unbelievable
Slow to Reproduce
The reproduction cycle of the swell shark is very slow and limited. The female sharks only lay one to two eggs that they attach to tendrils on the reefs. The embryo eats only the yolk in the egg sac and takes anywhere from 7 to 12 months to fully develop. The baby swell sharks are then left to fend for themselves after they hatch.
